The fact that it has been snowing for 20 hours straight and 9 inches of snowfall was recorded today in DFW deserves to be posted to the family blog! I'm sure this is some kind of record! We made a snowman, snow angels and had a snowball fight. Abby said, "Mom this snow is much better than Utah snow!" Granted, when we arrived in Utah December of 2008, the snow was older and packed--not good snowman-making snow! Today has been unbelievable and truly amazing....take a look:

looking out my car front window on the way home from abby's school

our snowman
making a few snow angels
big snowy smiles
we added a scarf (figured snowmen get cold, too, right?)
avery doing what she does best--being silly
trying to catch snowflakes on our tongues

Picture perfect!!! It looks like your kids had a blast! But what happened to Avery's hat? The poor girl's hair is frozen! :) (I know, she probably took it off and
refused to put it back on :)
Holy cow! Look at all that snow. That's about the same amount we got last week, but in MI! Hey on a side note, did you take down your fence? Anyway, the girls looked like they had a great time making snowmen and snowangels. Definitely a blog-worthy event! :)
brit, well i think it was too small! i was scroungin' around for stuff. luckily had a box marked "winter" in the attic left from living in utah!
corie, isn't that amazing that you got that same amount there?! i read in the Dallas Morning News that DFW set an all-time record high of 12.6 inches of snowfall 02/11/10. last time snow in this amount fell was 1964 and 12.1 inches were recorded then. crazy!
