a little over five years ago when we brought abby home from the hospital, i truly had no idea how quickly this day would come!
abby was just as excited as could be on monday to start her first day of kindergarten. i was a bit surprised at how confident she was--no tears or anything! when i picked her up and asked how her first day went she said, "good......i want to stay in school forever and ever and ever!" she loved everything about it.
yesterday after dropping her off, avery said to me "abby go to school?" and i said "yes...." and avery said, "where avery's school?" LOL she's already trying to fly the coup on me :)
abby was so eager to see and experience everything, it took me a moment to be able to get her attention long enough for a picture!
behind abby is a chart full of little "pockets" where their "happy tickets" go when they earn them. after 10 happy tickets, they get to pick out of mrs. wilson's treasure box. the first day she came home very excited, "mom, i earned 2 happy tickets today!"

Very cute!! You can see how nervous and excited she is all at the same time. I bet there were some butterflies going on in there! :) It's hard to believe she is so big already...
It reminds me so much of Isabel's first day. The younger sister looking on- wondering when her turn is. So cute. The irony of motherhood is that the days can seem SO long; yet the years fly by..Then, once they are in school- like Abby is, it goes so fast! Very fun. they are both just as cute as can be.
